Student Leadership positions include:
Resident Assistants are undergraduate students who live on the floors with the residents. Each RA is strategically placed to provide the closest contact with the residents. Their overall responsibility is to provide leadership, enforce policies, lend assistance and support to the residents in the halls. RAs work with the students on their floors to plan and implement social, recreational and cultural activities throughout the semester.
Each traditional residence hall's reception area is manned 24-hours daily. Desk Attendants are students who are hired by the Office of Residence Life as an extension of the Residential staff. DAs offer desk coverage 24 hours a day. They are available to assist residents and visitors with their needs and to monitor the individuals entering the building.
Responsible for providing assistance to computer users, maintaining the quality of the software/hardware and managing the daily activities of the computer lab.
This position is filled by students who work in the Office of Residence Life providing office assistance in the area of clerical and customer services duties.
The Residence Hall Council (RHC) exists to provide a voice for the residents, functioning as a channel of communication between the residents and the Office of Residence Life; aiding in the sponsorship of activities, respecting the rights of individuals while recognizing the needs of the community, drawing strength from our diversity, encouraging leadership, and incorporating the values put forth by Coppin State University.
Responsible for providing assistance to computer users, maintaining the quality of the software/hardware and managing the daily activities of the computer lab. The Senior Resident Assistant who was also responsible for the overall operation of the computer lab and its staff supervises the monitors.
