The Following Facilities are available to the Department of Visual & Performing Arts students:

- An art gallery, adjacent to the theatre in the James Weldon Johnson Auditorium Building. Exhibitions change on a regular basis and feature works of art created by students and by members of the community, as well as by professional artists
- Art studios, including a painting and drawing studio and a ceramic arts studio that features floor to ceiling windows and glass doors that open onto a versatile outdoor courtyard
- A darkroom for traditional photographic work
- A computer lab equipped with software for creating digital art
- Full audio, video, and internet support for instruction
- A mirrored dance studio
- Rehearsal and performance access to Coppin’s 40-foot proscenium stage theatre, with portable marlee dance flooring
- An office and a large costume room in the theatre building
- A state-of-the-art choir-rehearsal facility, featuring projection-screen internet, video, and DVD access
- Organ
- Full complement of upright, grand, and electronic pianos
- Individual, private practice rooms
- Rehearsal and performance access to Coppin’s 40-foot Johnson Auditorium proscenium theatre
- A 975-seat 40-foot proscenium stage theatre.
- Affiliation with The Arena Playhouse. Located within 15 minutes of the campus, the playhouse is the oldest continuously operating African American community theatre in the U.S. It features a 300-seat thrust stage theatre.
