Nancy Morejon

Dr. Nancy Morejón who resides in Havana, Cuba was born in Havana to working-class parents. Morejón is a beneficiary and supporter of the 1959 Cuban revolution.

Prominent patterns and themes in her varied and many published works include racial and class identity, political and social matters, women, love, family, and history.

The insightful artist delves into playful observations of her own people. She has been known for her use of Cuban forms of humor, and her regular "indulgence" in highly lyrical, intimate, spiritual, or even erotic poetry.
