Masters of Education In Curriculum Via Distance Learning

The degree requires 36 semester hours of course work for completion, and since the courses are designated to build upon previously learned information and skills, courses must be taken in the designated sequence. Participants must complete all courses of the program

CUIN 607 The Use of Computers in Education3

Semester III
CUIN 552 Motivating Today's Learner3

Semester IV (Major in Elementary Education)
REED 508 Instruction of Reading3
REED 603 Assessment for Reading Instruction3

*Semester V (Major in Secondary Education)
CUIN 604 Helping Students Become Self-Directed Learners3
CUIN 554 Models of Effective Teaching3

*Semester VI (Major in Elementary Education)
REED 501 Reading in the Content Areas6

Total Hours for both programs 36 credit hours

* The curriculum of semesters V and VI will be determined by whether the student's major is elementary or secondary education.
