CSU Youth Dance Ensemble Placement Audition:

CSU Youth Dance and Placement Audition: (Ages 7-14) Saturday, August 23, 2008 (ages 7-9) or Friday, August 29, 2008 @ 7:00-8:30 p.m. (ages 10-14) Coppin Center Dance Studio, 2500 W. Registration

In-Person Registration Dates:
Thursday, August 215:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, August 225:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 23 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Friday, August 295:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Mail-In Registration:
Send the registration form with a $25.00 registration fee plus 1st payment to reserve your space. Payment should be mailed to:

Make all checks payable to: CSU Foundation (Indicate your child's name on the check to receive proper credit for your payment).

Late Registration Dates:
Friday, September 7 & 146:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 8 & 15 10:30 - 4:00 p.m.


Cancellation Policy:

The community dance outreach program contract is for the full academic year (September- May). Late registration is provided at prorated per class fee after the second week of classes. Late registration received after the second week of classes is accessed a $10.00 late registration fee processing fee. You are responsible for all fees and expenses until the dance office has received a 30-day written notice to drop a class with a $30.00 cancellation fee. Absolutely, no refunds on tuition, costume, and recital payments- no exceptions. Coppin State University has the right to terminate your registration at any time.


Make-Up Classes:

Make-up classes are available until January 30, 2009. You could speak directly with your child's instructor concerning any make-up class designed to meet the needs of your child. Please do not deduct missed classes from your tuition payment.


Semester Break:

The community outreach program operates under the university's academic calendar regarding holiday and semester break closings. Classes are cancelled due to inclement weather in either Baltimore City or Baltimore County.

Thanksgiving - November 24 - 30, 2008
Winter Semester Break: December 15 - January 4, 2009
Spring Semester Break: March 15 - 22 (Tentative Date)


Class Attire:

Girls (ages 4-12) should wear a red leotard and pink tights.
Boys should wear a white t-shirt, black tights, and dance belt for all dance classes - no exception!
Teens (ages 13) may wear dance or excercise attire (oversized attire is unacceptable).

Dance Shoes:
Pink Ballet Slippers (girls); White Ballet Slippers (male)
Black Jazz Shoes or sneakers
Black Tap Shoes (leather flats)
