Consideration for honors for any Coppin undergraduate student (transfer or non-transfer) will be determined by the cumulative grade point average of all college work entered into the undergraduate’s permanent academic record, regardless of where the work was pursued. Any student graduating with honors shall have earned not more than one grade of “D” or “F”. Academic clemency for purposes of honors shall apply to students who have not attended any college or university for a period of ten years or more immediately prior to the current period of attendance at Coppin.
Summa Cum Laude (Highest Honors) status is granted to candidates who have earned at least 48 credit hours at Coppin and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 to 4.00 in all college work.
Magna Cum Laude (High Honors) status is granted to candidates who have earned at least 48 credit hours at Coppin and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 to 3.74 in all college work.
Cum Laude (Honors) status is granted to candidates who have earned at least 48 credit hours at Coppin and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 to 3.49 in all college work.
