The Center for Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) serves students who are experiencing difficulties with substance abuse or students who are troubled by someone else's abuse of alcohol or drugs. The program will focus primarily on education as a means of prevention. Individual and group counseling is available.
Alcohol and other drugs (whether prescription or illegal) misuse, abuse, addiction can seriously impair academic performance and your future. Many college students cite "experimentation" with drugs and alcohol as a "right" during college and believe such experimentation is not dangerous.
We believe that all students want to succeed academically and fulfill their potential during the college years. When substance abuse gets in the way, it can seriously derail those dreams. Our goal is to provide resources, information and services that will help students make informed and responsible decisions about the use of alcohol and/or drugs.
