First Generation Discussion Group
First Generation Discussion Group Attending college for the first time can be nerve-racking. Being the first to break the family record as the only college graduate, may feel overwhelming. The Center for Counseling and Student Development offers students a peer discussion group to talk about issues that impact first generation students. Participants discuss expectations in a supportive group environment. Discussion topics may include family support, time management and adjustment to university life.
