Welcome to the Department of Adult and General Education, a thriving department that functions to serve your academic needs in offering programs designed to meet a multiplicity of needs of diverse adult populations. Responding to recent statistical data that adults and particularly the elderly represent our most rapidly growing populations, we have brilliantly met the challenge of offering programs that are current, relevant, and provocative. Our program menu includes areas of specialties in Secondary Education, Administration and Supervision, Family Counseling, Gerontology and Alcoholism Counseling.
The Department of Adult and General Education has been in existence since 1982 and has prepared more than 300 practitioners for key positions in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area and surrounding counties and states to better serve its diverse adult populations in meeting social, educational, and health needs. With the increasing need for nontraditional programming, the Department of Adult and General Education has been poised to meet the challenges of addressing these critical programmatic needs.
We are anxious to meet and greet you in our main office in Grace Hill Jacobs room 704. We may be reached by telephone at (410) 951-3030 and by fax at (410) 951-3031.
The Interim Chairperson for the Adult and General Education department is Dr. Jacqueline H. Williams.
