Networking & Professional Development Opportunities

Students who major in Urban Arts or take classes in the arts will have opportunities to meet artists and performers, to participate in arts activities, and to serve internships in arts venues throughout the greater Baltimore area. Coppin students have successfully interned with such organizations as the Arena Playhouse, the Maryland Historical Society, the McKim Community Center, Baltimore Clayworks, and the Baltimore Afro-American Newspaper.

Also, seniors in Urban Arts complete a capstone course, in which they create portfolios to use when seeking professional employment.
