Art Minor

Students in all majors are welcome to minor in art to fulfill their own personal, creative needs or to complement their majors and increase their professional opportunities. Art minors must complete 18 CREDITS (6 courses) in art beyond the GERs and must complete one course each in:

• Drawing
• Art history, such as African Art, African American Art or Art History Survey
• Studio art, such as ceramic sculpture, digital art, design, painting, or photography
• Senior internship or special project, designed to meet each student’s individual professional or personal objectives.

Art minors complete their remaining courses in such areas as studio arts; arts management; and/or art history.
