An Urban Studies major may choose to select a minor to focus on a particular area of specific interest. Examples include minors in Criminal Justice, History, Global Studies, African American History, Journalism, Anthropology, Sociology, Nonprofit Management, Psychology, Management Science, Social Welfare, Urban Recreation, Elementary Education, Child Care Programs and Services and Political Science. Other minors not listed also are available. An Urban Studies major can select a double major with appropriate permissions. Alternatively an Urban Studies major can concentrate his or her elective courses beyond GERs to customized specialty areas.
