NOTE: We admit by highest cumulative GPA first. Due to the fact that CSU HFSON will be running no less than four iterations of the BSN program in fall 2012, the number of new admits for fall 2012 that we will be able to accommodate will be greatly reduced. This means that it will be more competitive than ever before to become a Coppin Nursing Student.
The School of Nursing admits applicants without regard to race, religion, national origin, age, or gender.
Note: Applicants are advised that if they have a criminal history, they may be delayed or not granted licensure as a professional registered nurse by the state board of nursing.
Note: Admission to Coppin State University is not considered automatic admission to the Helene Fuld School of Nursing.
Note: For Transfer Students, the CSU Transfer Coordinator in the CSU Office of Records and Registration will make the “OFFICIAL” determination of courses that will be transferred to CSU and will send a copy of that report to your mailing address (a “D” is not acceptable for transfer credit for any Major Support courses listed on the Undergraduate Nursing Program of Study (Major Support Courses Document). Prior to application, please make an effort to communicate with the Office of Student Affairs and Retention [S.T.A.R.] in the HFSON to obtain an unofficial evaluation of your college level courses; this will assist with the determination of any outstanding coursework. The telephone number is (410)951-3970.
