Who is eligible for the Tom Joyner Foundation Scholarship?
  • A student who is a full-time undergraduate with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50. (please note the Hercules Scholarship requires a 3.0 Cumulative GPA for male applicants only)
  • A student that has applied for (FASFA) federal and state aid that offsets the cost of tuition and fees.
  • A student that demonstrates a financial need and is not receiving a refund from any aid source.
Additional Tom Joyner Foundation Scholarship requirements?
  • Applications will not be accepted after the deadline. The application deadline is May 15, 2008.
  • Any false statement or misrepresentation will be cause for denial of the scholarship and all future awards.
  • Recipient must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted

How do I apply for the Tom Joyner Foundation Scholarship?
A student can complete the online application on this webpage between March 15, 2008 – May 15, 2008.

What is the amount of a Tom Joyner Foundation Scholarship?
A student, if eligible can receive a scholarship in amounts ranging from $500.00 to $2,500.00.

When will the scholarship be applied to my account?
The scholarship is applied during the semester for which the student is enrolled beginning Fall 2008.
