About Training & Development Services

Computer training covering a broad range of topics is available right here on campus. The Information Technology Division (ITD) training sessions and/or workshops are free of charge and are only open to faculty, staff, and department upon request.

If you use a personal computer you may be interested in some of the hands-on workshops on popular computer applications including: Windows, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, and basic Web-Page Design.

The ITD Training and Development Center is located in the basement of the Tawes Center. The primary goal of the ITD Training and Development Center is to provide university-wide training and support services to faculty and staff through workshops, demonstrations, individual assistance, and self-instructional media-based materials.

A new series of OIT training sessions is scheduled several times a year - and once in the summer. Schedules are emailed to all faculty and staff and are accessible through the Coppin website[djr3] as soon as they are published. All ITD training/workshop sessions require registration.

There are also customized training, demonstration seminars available for faculty, staff, and department upon request. These seminars cover a variety of topics such as accessing email from home, effective use of the Internet, and using university computer systems.
