Students apply to the Coppin State University School of Graduate Studies through the Office of Admissions. The Dean and Associate Dean of the Graduate School in cooperation with Chairpersons of the academic departments make admission decisions. These persons constitute the Graduate Admissions Committee.

In addition to official transcripts and three (3) letters of reference, the School of Graduate Studies requires a recent Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for admission to the MAT and the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction programs. A GRE or PRAXIS score may be used as data to assist the Graduate Admissions Committee in making admissions decisions.
