Types of Financial Aid
Federal Pell Grant Program
The Federal PELL Grant:
- Is considered the first source of student aid.
- Is transferable to another institution.
- Payment is not limited to the available funds at a school.
- Award amount varies from $400 to $5,550.
- Actual award is based on estimated family contribution (EFC), cost of attendance, number of
credits student is taking. Less than half time students may be eligible.
- Must not have a previous bachelor's degree.
- Must be degree seeking.
