Coppin State University's new parking structure is in the final phase of approval. The new parking structure will be located on North Avenue across the bridge from the University's new Health & Human Services Building and will be an elegant reinforced concrete, brick and metal panel structure that will provide 500 parking spaces for the University's faculty, staff, students and visitors. The new Parking Structure will include a shell office space on the top floor, office space for Parking & Transportation Services, and a Public Safety sub-station. This new facility will not only relieve some of the parking crunch on campus but will also relieve some of the congestion in the surrounding Rosemont/Coppin Heights community.
The Office of Capital Planning, Construction, and Contracts regularly inform the surrounding community of upcoming projects on campus. In addition, Coppin has a member on the board of directors for the Greater Mondawmin Coordinating Council.
