The CCSD offers outreach services to address the developmental needs of CSU students and specialized programming to address critical issues, emphasize prevention, and promote mental health among students. Services and programs include but are not limited to workshops, mental health screenings, classroom presentations, peer leader trainings, and information/awareness events.

The CCSD participates in a number of awareness events and outreach activities related to mental health and personal well-being. We are dedicated to providing outreach programs that empower students to persist academically, and to develop personally and socially in a nurturing environment. We annually participate in National Depression Screening Day and National Alcohol Screening Day. Past CCSD outreach events have included: Alcohol Awareness Month, Valentine’s Day Relationship Reality Check, and Stress Recess just to name a few.
The CCSD is available to consult with faculty, staff, parents and students regarding developmental, mental health and adjustment related issues. A CCSD staff member will explore your concerns in person or over the phone and assist you with identifying the best possible solution. Consultations are confidential, with the exception of situations in which we believe that there is a risk to the health or safety of an individual.
