  • How to get an Eagle Card

All students who desire to obtain an Eagle Card must come to the Office of Public Safety in person and present proper identification for card issuance. The office is located in the Frances Murphy Research Center on the first level. A new student can obtain an Eagle Card during new student orientation or after he or she receives his or her validated bill during arena registration. A continuing student will get an Eagle Card to replace a lost or stolen identification card. Continuing students will have to pay the replacement fee.

  • What Information is on the Eagle Card?

The information on the front of the Eagle Card includes:

Name, photograph, issue date, and barcode.

The information on the back of the Eagle Card includes: a wide magnetic access stripe, barcode number and policy information.

The wide access stripe on the back of the Eagle Card allows users access to dining services meal plans, and declining balance account for dining and bookstore purchases.

  • What should I do if my Eagle Card is lost, damaged or stolen?

If your Eagle Card is lost, damaged or stolen, you must report the loss to the Office of Auxiliary Services immediately at 410-951-3573. Your old card will be deactivated and replaced by a new card.

  • How do I replace a lost, damaged or stolen Eagle Card?

To replace a lost, damaged or stolen Eagle Card, you must pay a $15.00 (commuter students) or $55.00 (residential students) replacement card fee to the Cashier's Office. Following payment, take your receipt to the Office of Public Safety (Frances Murphy Research Center, first floor) to receive a replacement Eagle Card. Residential students who would like to have the $55.00 fee added to their bills should contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life for detailed instructions.

  • How do I take care of my Eagle Card?

Treat your card as you would cash or any other valuable possession. Protect the magnetic stripe. It can be erased by some devices such as inventory control pads (found at many cash registers) or other strong magnetic devices. Do not iron or otherwise expose the card to excessive heat. Do not punch holes in the card for use with key chains or necklaces. Do not affix tape or stickers to the card because these materials could damage the card readers.
