The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded the Mathematics and Computer Science department and the Natural Sciences department a $2.5 million Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) grant. The grant enables Coppin to award stipends to STEM majors, offer summer programs for incoming STEM students, and update our STEM courses.
These stipends are awarded at the end of each semester to students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents; earn at least a 3.0 semester GPA, and maintain at least a 2.75 overall GPA; and make at least C in at least two STEM courses.
