Throughout our journey in life we all experience change.
Some times, this change is orderly, logical, and comprehensible. Other times, this change can be chaotic, mystifying and confusing. The staff of CCSD believes that the college experience extends over developmental phases. These growth phases are best characterized by phases of crisis, adjustments, adaptation, conflict resolution, and integration. Our services are designed to assist students develop coping skills to conquer the vicissitudes of life, to manage crises, and to help them flourish in meaningful ways.
The CCSD program provides a plethora of support services that will enable students to grow in self-understanding and make more fulfilling and healthier utilization of their personal and interpersonal resources. Individual interactions, group therapies, faculty/staff consultation, teaching, research, and numerous outreach activities/involvements are some of the primary means by which the mission will be achieved. It is our objective to help create and maintain a nourishing, healthy, diverse community through relationship building, education, and crisis prevention.
