Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the exciting 2008-2009 school year at Coppin Academy High School. We look forward to spending this time to increase each student's knowledge and to assist each family as they support our students in completing the high school graduation pathway as well as preparing to transition to college.
As you may know, Coppin Academy's first principal, Mr. William Howard, has left us to complete his doctorate. With the doctorate in hand, Mr. Howard will be able to continue the great work that he started with the Coppin Academy family. He will be even better equipped to lead young people to educational excellence and success. Each of us wishes Mr. Howard well. In the near future, we are anxiously awaiting the selection and announcement of Coppin Academy's new principal.
The highlight of the 2008 -2009 school year will be the graduation of our Legacy Class- The Class of 2009. As the preparations are completed and as the excitement builds, we must keep in mind that neither the school rules nor expectations have changed. We look forward to student adherence to the rules, to student academic achievement and once again, we ask for your help. Thank you for your continued support.
