The objectives of the Office of Academic Advisement is to:
- Provide at least two personal contacts per exploratory student in an effort to raise the students'
awareness of the Academic Advising Center, the services it provides, and the academic policies and procedures
by which each student is governed
- Provide increasing levels of personal service to exploratory students as measured through professional
and informal contacts, informational workshops, visits to the Center, appointments with academic advisors,
and communication with Center staff via telephone, letter, email, and other means of communication
- Assist students with the development of meaningful educational plans, refining goals and
objectives, understanding available choices, and understanding that the ultimate responsibility for making
