CSU will construct a new 148,275 NASF/246,359 GSF facility to house indoor and outdoor facilities to support intercollegiate athletics, the Health/Physical Education/Recreation and Dance (HPERD) academic programs, and community outreach programs.
The new Physical Education Complex will include an arena with 4,100 seats, an eight-lane competitive pool, fitness center, auxiliary gym, and multipurpose space, racquetball courts, maintenance, public safety, and a satellite central utility plant. Adjacent to this facility will be an outdoor track, tennis courts, and athletic fields. Construction of this project is scheduled to begin this summer (2007) with occupancy in fall 2009.
